The tales of Rani Laxmi Bai have been told and re-told very many times. She was a fearless warrior and an integral fuel in the Independence War of India against the British Empire. In India, many filmmakers have aimed to showcase her tale through their films. Recently, in Bollywood, we saw Kangana Ranaut portraying the freedom fighter in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Now, it seems that it is Hollywood’s turn to tell this brave story. A trailer of the film, The Warrior Queen of Jhansi, has been dropped and it is extremely powerful!
The film stars Devika Bhise in the title role and it has been directed by Swati Bhise. Right from the start of the trailer, we see some powerful scenes and even more powerful dialogues. Devika is seen as the fearless lady who is training an army of women to fight against the British Army. It is evident from the trailer itself that the actress has portrayed the character of Queen Jhansi spot-on. We even see her perform some extreme sword-fight sequences.
