Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva is a Hindi fantasy action adventure film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji which was released earlier today. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Mukerji himself, in his debut production, under the production companies Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Marijke DeSouza.
The film opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike, while fans of the actors truly loved the film. While the Hindi version of the film was released all across the nation, the Tamil version of the film was also released today.
Singer Brindha Sivakumar who is widely known for the songs she has sung as well as for being the daughter of actor Sivakumar and the younger sister of actors Suriya and Karthi has revealed that she has voiced Alia Bhatt's character in the Tamil dubbing of the film. The Swasamae singer was by this news and decided to share it with her many fans and followers as it is her first time dubbing for a film.
She took to her official Instagram handle to announce this news. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles with Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni in supporting roles. The film is intended to serve as the first installment of a planned trilogy, which is itself planned to be part of an extended cinematic universe titled Astraverse.
Produced on an estimated budget of over Rs. 400 crores, the film is one of the most expensive Indian films ever to be made. The film was released today in standard formats, 3D, IMAX 3D, and 4DX 3D by Star Studios in India, and by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures worldwide.
