Sengalam is a political web series that has Vani Bojan and Kalaiarasan in lead roles. The series is now streaming on the OTT platform Zee 5 from 24th March. The political drama surrounds three brothers' battle for the district chairman post of a political party. The series also has a talented cast of Sharath Lohistashwa, Viji Bhairavi Chandrasekhar, Bucks, Muthu Kumar, Daniel Annie Pope, Arjai, Shali Nivekas, Vela Ramamoorthy and others in important roles. It is directed by S R Prabhakaran who previously was a part of Sundarapandian, Idhu Kathivelan Kadhal, Sathriyan and so on.

The crew of the web series Sengalam, Vani Bhojan, Bucks and Daniel, gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Media where they shared about the process of filming the series and so on. As the anchor asked if the actress Vani Bhojan wants to join politics, Vani Bhojan said “No, playing the role I felt so powerful, Suddenly, Kalaiarasan was like see I was like a real politician. I felt that power, I felt the character was so powerful and I would have someone has to open the door and give silk shawls (during sequences like in real politics). Even co-director Prem asked if I wanted to stand in the election." When asked if she had any understanding of politics. The actress said “I don't think I have that much understanding about politics but when I was a kid, I had an uncle who was very passionate about a particular party and will not stop talking about it."
The anchor then questioned What will the actress Vani Bhojan if she becomes a minister or Chief Minister?. Vani Bhojan said "I will tell you what I won’t do. I will not play the blame game. Because at the end of the day, everything is for the benefit of people." When said she looks like late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the poster of the Sengalam web-series. The actress said “It's a big word, she was an Iron lady and she was an inspiration for every woman, So, it good to hear you say that". Speaking about the look in the poster the actress said “the director was behind every detail in the costume and look, from Vibuthi (holy ash) in the forehead, to the bangles, saree everything was chosen by the director."
