Cirkus is an upcoming Hindi film directed by Rohit Shetty. It is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Rohit Shetty and Krishan Kumar under the banners of Rohit Shetty Picturez, Reliance Entertainment, and T-Series. The film stars Ranveer Singh in a dual role alongside Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Varun Sharma. The film will also feature Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgn in cameo appearances. Cirkus is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 23 December 2022, coinciding with Christmas Eve.
With that being said, a grand update has been revealed pertaining to the film's shooting. This comes from Ranveer Singh itself who made the announcement through his official Instagram handle. He shared an image in which he is seen posing with director Rohit Shetty, co-star Varun Sharma and a few others. He also wrote a caption that read, "Shooting khatam, Promotion ki planning shuru! The music of Cirkus is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film is said to be an adaptation of the Shakespearean play The Comedy of Errors. Rohit Shetty shares, “Cirkus is a complete family entertainer. There’s no better time than the Christmas holidays to celebrate the film in Cinemas everywhere." The movie reunites Shetty with Singh after the actor headlined his 2018 action blockbuster Simmba with Sara Ali Khan. The film was a massive hit.
