Veteran Tamil producer and actor Arun Pandian recently underwent angioplasty surgery to remove two blocks (in his heart) which needed immediate attention. Before undergoing the surgery, Arun Pandian had tested positive for Covid 19 virus. After recovering from the infection, Arun Pandian had gone to Meenakshi Mission in Madurai for a complete heart check-up where it was found that he had two heart blocks that demanded immediate attention. He was immediately admitted to the ICU ward and the Doctors performed angioplasty. The surgery was successful and Arun Pandian is now said to be in good health.

Arun Pandian's daughter and actress Keerthi Pandian took to her social media pages to share this information with her followers and well-wishers. Keerthi Pandian and Kavitha Pandian (elder daughter of Arun Pandian) thanked the Hospital officials of Meenakshi Mission for taking good care of their father. The daughters also mentioned in their joint statement that the last one month was emotionally challenging for the entire family. They also mentioned that the days were scary for them as Arun Pandian was diabetic. It is good to know that Arun Pandian is now on his road to recovery and has overcome two health problems in a span of one month.

Keerthi Pandian and Kavitha Pandian also added that their father had taken the first dose of the Covid vaccine already and they felt that the vaccination helped in having the situation under control. They also urged everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible, as it saves lives. This statement has gone viral among social media users and we hope Arun Pandian returns to normalcy very soon.

Arun Pandian made his acting comeback recently with Anbirkiniyal, which featured Keerthi Pandian in the titular role. The real-life father-daughter combo acted together for the first time and the film received fairly positive reviews from the fans. Anbirkiniyal, which was the official Tamil remake of Helen (Malayalam), was directed by Gokul of Idharkkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara fame. The film is currently streaming on the Amazon Prime Video platform.
