The Tamil remake of the Malayalam thriller Ishq has been officially titled Aasai. The upcoming film stars Kathir and Divya Bharati in the lead with the film is directed by Shiv Mohaa who is known for delivering the film Zero. Today's being Kathir birthday, the makers of the film released the first look poster of the film. 

Renowned actress Keerthy Suresh of Mahanati fame launched the two first-look posters of the flick through her official Twitter handle. Along with the poster she also attached a caption that read, "So happy to present the first look of #Aasai! 😍 All the best @am_kathir @divyabarti2801 & team ❤️ Also wishing my dearest @am_kathir a very happy birthday ❤️🤗 " . The poster features Divya Bharathi and Kathir in upside down look and has the title written in English and Tamil. Check it out: 

The film will mark Shiva Mohaa's second directorial venture after the 2016 fantasy horror film Zero. Reva will be giving the music in Aasai, while it will be produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jey under the banner Eagles Eye Production. The other star cast of the movie is still under wraps, Aasai is a Tamil remake of the 2019 romantic thriller Ishq starring Shane Nigam and Ann Sheetal which revolves around two youngsters who seek joy after they lose out on love and their need for mutual trust to sustain love and happiness.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kathir was seen earlier in two projects in 2022 Akka Kruvi and Suzhal: The Vortex. In the former he has a cameo appearance and the latter was released on Amazon Prime Video. On the other hand, Divya Bharathi last seen in the adult romantic court drama Bachelor, the actress received a lot of accolades for her role in the movie. It was released on Dec 2021 with mixed to positive reviews from the critics but emerged as a commercial success at the box office.
