After the highly successful and critically acclaimed Maanaadu by Venkat Prabhu, the director gave us a quickie in the form of Manmatha Leelai. The adult comedy which was released earlier this month on April 1 has caught the attention of many for being an unconventional Tamil film in this day and age. It has especially garnered a positive response from the younger audience for its fun content and material portrayed on screen.
After a respectable run in theatres, the film starring Ashok Selvan, Samyuktha Hegde, Smruthi Venkat and Riya Suman in the lead is now going to be made available to watch on the OTT platform Aha Tamil. The Aha OTT site, which is new to Tamil, has acquired the post-release rights of the film Manmatha Leelai for a large sum. The film's production company, RockFort Entertainment, took to their Twitter handle to announce this news. They wrote, "Happy to associate with @ahatamil for the #ManmathaLeelai, digital premiere soon", followed by a series of tags of all those associated with the project.

The Telugu OTT platform that claims to provide 100% local entertainment to the Telugu-speaking population across the world has expanded into another South Indian market with the launch of Tamil service, coinciding with Puthandu, the Tamil New Year. The company has also roped in actors Silambarasan TR aka Simbu and music composer Anirudh Ravichander as their brand ambassadors for its Tamil service.
Most of the Tamil slate will have original content including director Vetrimaaran’s Petta Kaali and a host of originals such as Bhamakalaapam featuring Priyamani, Ammuchi 2, Ramany vs Ramany 3, and may more. The service will also have theatrical films such as Selfie featuring GV Prakash Kumar and Gautam Vasudev Menon, Sardaar featuring Karthi, and soon Venkat Prabhu’s Manmatha Leelai too.
