One of the leading institutions of Tamil Nadu, Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER), welcomed their third chancellor, Mrs. Jayanthi Radhakrishnan, on Friday, 6th of September. The incumbent Pro Chancellor, who is taking up the role of the new chancellor, is expected to imbibe the rich legacy and values of the institute and has vowed to take the institute to new heights in the coming years. Mrs. Jayanthi is poised to steer the institution to excellence in academics, research, and innovation. Following the ascendancy of Mrs. Jayanthi Radhakrishnan to the Chancellor, Mr. Akash Prabhakar, a trustee of MAHER Trust, assumed the office of the Pro-Chancellor of the reputed institute.
The notable investiture event that was held in the Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education was graced by Mr. Prabhakar Edward, The Executive Director of JPMorgan Change and Co., who was the guest of honor of the program, and the special invitees to the event were Mr. Naveen Rakesh, The Managing Director of Sri Muthukumaran Medical College and Hospital, and Dr. G. Ra. Gokul, Managing Trustee of Meenakshi Ammal Trust.
During the ceremony, The remarkable accomplishments of Mrs. Jayanthi Radhakrishnan during her tenure, including accreditations received by the premier MAHER Institute, were highlighted by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr Sridhar, in his introductory address. The Chief Patron ceremoniously handed over the sceptre to the new Chancellor, symbolizing the transition of authority and trust in her leadership, followed by the oath-taking and formal signing of the affirmation. The Pro Vice-Chancellor introduced the new Pro-Chancellor, outlining his aspiration to create an inclusive environment that is safe and welcoming for students.
