Popular Tamil actor Kavin tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Monicka David in Chennai on Sunday, August 20. The wedding is said to be an intimate ceremony, which was held in the presence of close friends and family members. The first pictures from the wedding ceremony show Monicka looking gorgeous in a golden kasavu saree, while Kavin was at his dashing best in an off-white white mundu and a kurta. The couple exchanged their wedding vows and were seen smiling from ear to ear on the happy occasion and the next big phase in their lives together. Among the celebrities who wished Kavin and Monicka include Sivaangi Krishnakumar who commented, "Congratulations and celebrationss♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🥰🥰🥰 (sic)", while Pavni wrote, "Wishing you both a very Happy married life🥰 (sic)". Several big names from the Tamil film industry are said to have graced Kavin and Monicka's wedding, with Cooku with Comali fame Pugazh also extending his hearty wishes to the newly-married couple in person. The popular comedy actor also shared a picture of the couple from the wedding proceedings while conveying his compliments in an Instagram Story. The two are said to be childhood friends before love blossomed between them, with Monicka's wishes for Kavin on his birthday recently taking social media by storm.
Kavin rose to popularity among Tamil audiences after his appearance on the hit Vijay Television show, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. He later went on to act in many other Vijay TV shows like Saravanan Meenakshi and Thayumanavan, while also appearing as one of the contestants on Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3. Kavin then made a transition to the big screen in a supporting role in Vikram Prabhu's Sathriyan before making his Tamil cinema hero debut in Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma (2019). He also starred in Lift (2021), which was released directly on streaming and hit the bullseye with Dada earlier this year at the box office, while garnering appreciation for his performance in the coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film. As for his upcoming projects, Kavin has an untitled film being directed by choreographer Sathish Krishnan, while it is being reported that he also has a project with director Elan of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal fame.
