The first film that was announced for a May 18 release date was the Vijay Antony, Anjali and Sunainaa starrer, Kaali, under Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s direction.


Cinematographer turned filmmaker Vijay Milton’s Goli Soda 2, the sequel to his his, Goli Soda, then went on to land a release slot on May 18.


Following the release announcements for both Kaali and Goli Soda 2, a new competitor has now entered the fray in the form of Atharvaa’s action thriller, Semma Botha Aagathey.


Directed by Badri Venkatesh under Atharvaa’s Kiickass Entertainment banner with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Semma Botha Aagathey featuring Mishti and Anaiki Soti as the female leads will now hit the screens on May 18 making it three films to battle for box office victory.
