Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan will be getting married on Monday, November 28, in Chennai, the star couple confirmed the news during a press interaction while adding that there will be no reception. The young Tamil cinema couple revealed that the wedding will be a small and simple function in the presence of family members and close friends, while also adding that they will be sharing photos from the ceremony at noon on the same day.
Informing that they both will continue to act in films after their wedding, Gautham Karthik revealed how he proposed to Manjima Mohan while stating that she had taken two days to give her nod. The couple also told media persons that they were friends first and only began thinking about their relationship a year after working in Devarattam (2019). Speaking about how Manjima is an important part of his life, Gautham Karthik said that she's a beautiful person, but also a very strong individual, who lifts him up whenever he feels weak. When asked about what his co-star in Pathu Thala, Silambarasan TR had to say, Gautham Karthik informed the press that the actor was happy for him and Manjima entering the next big phase of their lives.
Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan made their relationship official on October 31 in a detailed heartfelt note on Instagram in which they revealed how they started out as friends before becoming a couple. In his note, Gautham Karthik wrote, "@manjimamohan , our journey has been different for sure, lol. We started by always pranking each other, always bickering and arguing about the silliest of things. Even our friends couldn't stand our arguments. 🤣But little did I know that you were creating a bond, a beautiful bond between us. I decided to name this bond as 'friendship' at first. But it was stronger than that... You kept growing it... I named it as 'best-friends'. But it grew stronger than that too..." He added, "I'm extremely greatful that you have chosen to share this special bond with me my love.
