One of the most expected combinations on screen - Siddharth and GV Prakash are coming together for the first time in director Sasi's Sivappu Manjal Pachai. This movie, produced by Ramesh S Pillai for Abhishek Films, is said to be an action thriller, with Siddharth playing a traffic cop and GV Prakash playing a bike racer. The trailer of this movie was released just yesterday and it has been receiving rave reviews. This movie was slated to hit the screens on September 6, this coming weekend. However, we have an exclusive update from a source close to the movie's team, that the release has been postponed.
Our source states that the movie's release has been postponed by a week, to September 12th! The reason behind this postponement, is as yet unknown. Sivappu Manjal Pachai will mark Malayalam beauty Lijomol Jose as well as Kashmira Pardeshi's debuts in Tamil cinema. Reports state that Lijomol Jose would be Siddharth's pair and GV Prakash's sister while Kashmira would be playing GV Prakash's pair, in this film. Debutante Siddhu Kumar has scored the music for this movie's album, which has five tracks.
Director Sasi is returning to movies after a gap of three years. His last movie - Pichaikkaran, which released in 2016 and had Vijay Antony in the lead, turned out to be a blockbuster success. Known well for his off-beat yet commercial themes, the expectations on this Sasi directorial are high too. San Lokesh is handling the editing of this movie, which has cinematography by Prasanna S.
