In tragic news, popular Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, known among Tamil cinema fans for playing Reema Sen's role in the Hindi version of Minnale titled Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, took to social media to inform the public about the demise of her niece Tanya Kakde in a car accident on Monday, August 1. Posting a picture of Tanya, the daughter of Congress leader Feroz Khan, Dia also penned an emotional note on Instagram, saying, "My neice. My child. My jaan. Gone into the light. May you find peace and love wherever you are my darling… you always brought a smile to our hearts and the higher realms will be filled with more light with you dancing, smiling and singing. Om Shanti 💛🐯🙏🏻"
Shortly after Dia shared the heartbreaking news, friends, well-wishers, and followers extended their heartfelt condolences in the comments, among whom included actor Boman Irani who wrote, "I have no words to comfort you Dia. This is heartbreaking. Your words mean much. Hope they can heal. I pray. 🙏🏻" Similarly, actor Arjun Rampal also said, "So sorry to hear this Dia. Prayers for all of you her family and her soul. According to Siasat Daily, Tanya was returning back home from the Rajiv Gandhi International airport, Hyderabad, along with four other friends when the devastating accident took place. Reports say the unfortunate incident had taken place at NH 44 after which passersby and the local patrol team rushed to their help, but Tanya had succumbed to her injuries while being taken to the hospital.
