The Chandramukhi 2 album was released a few days back in a grand event followed by the film's trailer being unveiled to a big response. The visuals in the 'Thori Bori' song once again affirm that the film is targeted towards the family audience and we can expect a big turnout in theatres considering names like Raghava Lawrence, Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar and director P. Vasu enjoy a good fan following. Chandramukhi 2 is also M. M. Keeravani's big Tamil cinema comeback nearly two decades after he composed music for Sibiraj's debut Student Number 1 (2003). It is to be noted that the celebrated music director won an Oscar award earlier this year for 'Best Original Song' for the 'Naatu Naatu' track in S. S. Rajamouli's global hit, RRR.
Kangana Ranaut is playing the titular role in Chandramukhi 2, which is coming out as a grand pan-Indian release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The film is also the four-time National Award-winning actress' second outing in Tamil cinema after Thalaivii (2021), a biopic based on the life of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa directed by A. L. Vijay. Although Chandramukhi 2 was postponed from its initial September 15 release plan, there are still huge expectations surrounding the Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut-starrer, and fans will be looking to witness the duo in action on the big screen in the sequel to Chandramukhi (2005), which had 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, Jyotika, Nayanthara and Prabhu in the lead roles.
