Pattathu Arasan is an upcoming sports action drama film written and directed by A. Sarkunam of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions. The film stars Atharvaa Murali, Rajkiran, Ashika Ranganath and Raadhika Sarathkumar in the lead roles with Jayaprakash, Ravi Kale, Bala Saravanan, and Raj Ayyappa as part of the supporting cast. The film is scheduled to be released theatrically on 25th November 2022.
The music of the film is composed by Ghibran. Earlier today, Think Music, who bought the music rights of the film, took their official Twitter handle and tweeted saying - "Today at 6:30PM bringing to you the magical melody of #Anjanathi ! 🎵😇 ". Well, that time has come and so has the song and one can say confidently that it is a definite hit among the masses.
It is a soothing melody with some great shots. The lyrics by Mani Amudhavan once again is bound to captivate the audience. In the song Anjanathi we see both Atharvaa and Ashika Ranganath get their flirt on while they play kabbadi and practice for it. Given that the film is about kabbadi, this seems very apt. The song comes after the first single titled 'Yaaro Yaaro Iva' which was released on 18 November 2022.
Pattathu Arasan will mark Ghiran's second collaboration with Atharvaa after Trigger and his third collaboration with director A. Sarkunam after Vaagai Sooda Vaa and Naiyaandi. The plot of Pattathu Arasan is set against the backdrop of green-caped betel farms near Thiruvaiyaru.
