Diary is an upcoming supernatural thriller directed by Innasi Pandiyan starring Arulnithi and Pavithra Marimuthu in the lead roles. The film is produced by Kathiresan under the banner of Five Star Creations with Sekar Babu co-producing it. and distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The film is all set and ready now to hit the big screens on August 2 as announced by the makers.
They shared this wonderful piece of information through the official Twitter handle of Red Giant Movies. Sharing the poster of the upcoming flick in which Arulnithi standing under an umbrella amid heavy rain with a suspicious look on his face, they wrote, "SAVE. THE. The upcoming film is expected to be an investigation thriller but going by the looks of the trailer, there seems to be some sort of a supernatural element present. Apart from the two leads, the film also stars Chaams, Kishore, and Jayaprakash, among others. The technical crew consists of Ron Ethan Yohan composing the music, while the cinematography is by Arvinnd Singh. SP Raja Sethupathi has edited Diary.
It has been revealed that Arulnithi will play the character of a policeman in the film. Actress Pavithrah Marimuthu will be playing the female lead. Arulnithi is currently basking in the success of his latest film Deja Vu, starring Mime Gopi, Smruthi Venkat, and Achyuth Kumar. Besides Diary, Arulnithi will next be seen in an untitled film by Gautham Raj, known to direct the hit thriller film Rakshasi.
Arunithi, who made his debut with Vamsam in 2010, has mostly worked in action-thriller films. He has several noteworthy films to his name like D Block, Demonte Colony, Mounaguru and K-13.
