Leading Tamil actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has issued a clarification addressing the rumors about dating actor Arjun Das after she posted a photo on Instagram earlier this week, which soon after took social media by storm. The picture, which was accompanied by a heart emoji, soon saw the Gatta Kusthi actress' inbox getting filled with queries about her relationship status with the Master star. On Wednesday, January 11, Aishwarya took to her Instagram Stories and clarified that the duo was not dating much to the relief of Arjun Das' huge female fan following while adding that the photo was taken during a casual meeting and that they are "just friends".

Aishwarya Lekshmi wrote, "To all Arjun Das fans who have been messaging me since yesterday, be rest assured. He is all yours." Explaining the context furthermore, she said, "We happened to meet. Click a picture and I just posted it. There is nothing brewing here. We are just friends." Aishwarya's clarification soon after led to many fans expressing a huge sigh of relief by posting her Instagram Story as a screenshot on social media. Although the duo has not worked together to date, they both were a part of the 2022 Tamil anthology Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa, which was released on Amazon Prime Video. Aishwarya starred in the 'Nizhal Tharum Idham' segment in the anthology, while Arjun appeared in a lead role in 'Loners'. Check out Aishwarya's clarification below:
As for their upcoming ventures, Aishwarya Lekshmi will be reprising her role as Poonguzhali in Mani Ratnam’s highly-anticipated Ponniyin Selvan: 2 in Tamil, including starring in Mammootty's Christopher and Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha in Malayalam. Arjun, on the other hand, will be making his Bollywood debut soon in the remake of the smash hit Malayalam film, Angamaly Diaries, under KD fame Madhumita's direction. In Tamil, he is playing the lead role in director Vasanthabalan's Aneethi and is expected to reprise his role as Anbu in Kaithi 2 after making a cameo appearance in Kamal Haasan's Vikram under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction.
