American actress and singer Abigail Breslin and her boyfriend-turned-fiancé Ira Kunyansky are now officially engaged. The couple dropped the announcement on social media on Tuesday night along with photos of themselves and the engagement ring. Kunyansky, 31, shared a series of pictures of him and his beloved wife-to-be after he popped the big question along with the caption, "She said YES!" Breslin, 25, too took to her Instagram page and responded to her future husband and wrote, "I was like, 'duh.'" She also added a hashtag that read #engagedyall alongside a photo of her glittering diamond engagement ring Kunyansky had given her.
Breslin and Kunyansky have been dating for nearly five years after they first met in the spring of 2017. The actress referred to her beau, who celebrated his birthday last week, as "my one and only, love of my life, perfect angel of a boyfriend", while further adding "life would be so uninteresting without you in it. I adore you more than words can describe." Breslin shared the happy news nearly a year after she suffered a personal tragedy when her father, Michael Breslin, died of COVID-19, last February at the age of 78.
Abigail Breslin made her debut in M. Night Shyamalan's science fiction horror film Signs (2002) before she went on to make heads turn in Little Miss Sunshine (2006), which earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 10. She later landed roles in films like Nim's Island, Definitely, Maybe, My Sister's Keeper, Rango, The Call, August: Osage County, Maggie, Freak Show, and Stillwater. Breslin was also a part of the blockbuster zombie comedy Zombieland and reprised her role for the sequel Zombieland: Double Tap (2019).
