Following the lukewarm responses to his latest releases - NGK and Kaappaan, Suriya has a lot of hopes banking on Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara, of Irudhi Suttru fame. This movie, bankrolled jointly by Suriya's 2D Entertainment banner and Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment banner, has music by GV Prakash, cinematography by Niketh Bommi and editing by Sathish Suriya! Aparna Balamurali, who was earlier seen in 8 Thottakal, will be playing the female lead in this movie, which is expected to be hitting the screens this summer. Earlier today, the makers had announced that they will be making an announcement at 5 PM. So, what’s the announcement about? As expected it is about the second single 'Veyyon Solli' which will on the 13th of February as a pre-valentine day special. 
 
Ace Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal is debuting in Tamil cinema through Soorarai Pottru, which will also see Jackie Shroff, Mohan Babu and Karunas as part of the cast. Widespread reports state that this movie would be based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, who made air travel affordable for the common man by founding the Air Deccan airlines. The shoot for this movie is over and we hear that the post production work is on at full speed. The Telugu version of Soorarai Pottru has been titled Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra.
