Actress Roja's daughter birthday celebrations - pictures go viral among fans
A leading name in South Indian cinema in the 1990s, actress Roja has starred in several notable films in her glorious career among which include Tamil ventures such as Suriyan, Veera, Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen, Housefull, Suyamvaram, Eazhaiyin Sirippil, Arasu to name a few. Having won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen in 1998, she has since been seen in character roles in Tamil in films namely Kaavalan and Saguni.
Roja got married to popular Tamil director R. K. Selvamani in 2002 and the couple have a daughter and a son. Currently serving as the State Women President in the YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh led by Chief Minister Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, the actress was later appointed as the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC).
Having acted alongside top stars in Tamil namely 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, 'Captain' Vijayakanth, Prabhu, Sathyaraj, Karthik, she also was a major box office draw in Telugu cinema and had been paired opposite 'Mega Star' Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Venkatesh to name a few. Currently serving her second term in the YSR Congress party, Roja recently celebrated the seventeenth birthday of her daughter Anshumalika.
