April 30 - TN COVID Update: 161 New Cases | No New Deaths | Total - 2323 Cases & 27 Deaths
April 30th has now become the day with the highest number of newly tested COVID-19 Corona Virus Positive cases in Tamil Nadu, so far. Today has followed in in the last couple of days' trend and had a shockingly high number of cases, especially in Chennai. The official numbers of #COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus cases in Tamil Nadu are out and we have it for you. April 28th was the worst ever so far for our state and today has gone past that. We have today's numbers for you, here! Tamil Nadu has had 161 new cases of COVID positive being reported in the past 24 hours. Of this, 138 new cases have been identified in Chennai alone, taking the district's total, to 906. There have been positive cases in 11 districts in Tamil Nadu and apart from Chennai, there have been 5 new cases each in Madurai and Chengalpattu, 3 each in Kancheepuram and Ramnad, 2 in Perambalur and 1 new case each in Tiruvallur, Salem, Ranipet, Cuddalore & Ariyalur!
Thankfully, there have not been any new deaths in the past 24 hours, and the death tally in the state remains at 27! The number of recoveries has come been moderate with just 48 new recoveries and discharges and the total number of recovered people has gone up to 1258. The 4-day lockdown imposed by the TN Government in 5 districts came to an end yesterday and from today morning, as usual, people flocked to the shops crowding up most areas. We urge all our readers, viewers and subscribers to follow all the government mandated guidelines and stay safe at home! Break the chain and flatten the curve!
