Happy Feet
The tap dance scenes, which were one of the highlights of Happy Feet, were performed by human tap dancers. The scenes were choreographed by famous tap dancer Savion Glover, who also provided the movements for Mumble.
Polar Express
Motion capture allowed Tom Hanks to play the young Hero Boy in Polar Express. Though the mannerisms of the character were Hanks' it was voiced by Daryl Sabara. Hanks voiced and played the Hero Boy's father, the Conductor, the Hobo and Santa Claus.
Beowulf
The cast members of Beowulf were filmed on a motion capture stage. They were altered on screen using computer-generated imagery, but their animated counterparts bear much resemblance to themselves.

Thanks to motion capture, Jim Carrey gave life to several characters in A Christmas Carol. His mannerisms added a lot of authenticity to the animation.
Avatar
During the making of Avatar James Cameron used his virtual camera system, thus creating a new way to direct motion-capture movies. The system shows the actors' virtual personas in their digital surroundings in real time. This allowed the direct the scenes as though shooting live action. Spielberg and Lucas went on to use the same idea while making The Adventures of Tintin.

The Avengers
Unlike earlier Hulk movies, the actor who played Banner played Hulk as well in this movie. Though the 3D model used to create the Hulk's body was based on Long Island bodybuilder Steve Romm, the face and expressions were of Mark Ruffalo. This made the Hulk in The Avengers the best Hulk we have seen on screen.
