As known to all by now, one of the common links between Rajinikanth’s Kaala and Dhanush’s Vada Chennai is composer Santhosh Narayanan.
First up, Kaala starring 'Superstar' Rajinikanth under Pa. Ranjith’s direction is being produced under Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films banner with its release being debated quite a lot over the past few days.
On the other hand, the first installment in filmmaker Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai trilogy starring Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea Jeremiah began production last year with production expected to be wrapped up sometime this year.
Meanwhile, Santhosh Narayanan took to his Twitter page to provide an update on the progress on the films as well as thanking all those involved in them.
Thank you @beemji , @VetriMaaran and @dhanushkraja for giving me all the freedom to explore my musical expression for #Kaala and #Vadachennai. I can't wait to present to you the music of both the amazing films. Love you all - Will update details in the coming weeks :)

The Kabali composer’s tweet is yet another hint that Kaala could arrive in theatres well before Rajini’s sci-fi magnum opus 2.0, which had been announced for an April release.
