Following Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, Vishal will next be seen in Laththi which is an action drama, directed by debutant A Vinoth Kumar. The shooting of the film is nearing completion and the team is said to be happy with the way the film is shaping up. Laththi will have Vishal playing the role of a police officer and the star actor has performed some high-octane risky action moves without using a body double. Meanwhile, the film has now undergone a big change with regard to its technical team and the update has garnered the attention of the fans. Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to compose music for the film, marking his 12th professional outing with Vishal.

YSR and Vishal are known to have delivered chartbuster hit songs and memorable scores in the past and let us hope that their magic repeats with Laththi, as well. Vishal made the official announcement on Yuvan Shankar Raja's addition to Laththi with a tweet that read, "Elated to have our lovely combo back for the #12th time in my career. Welcoming our little maestro n my good friend @thisisysr on-board for #Laththi". This development has excited the fans, making them look forward to the film. Initially, Sam CS of Vikram Vedha and Kaithi fame was signed as the music director of Laththi, but due to reasons unknown, he has now been replaced by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Produced by actors Ramana and Nandaa under the banner of RaNa Productions, the film has cinematography handled by Balasubramaniem and stunts choreographed by Peter Hein. The film features Sunainaa as the female lead, while Ilaya Thilagam Prabhu will be seen playing a pivotal character. Laththi is directed by Vinoth Kumar, a former associate of director Gaurav Narayanan. The first look poster of Laththi is set to release on April 6 and the fans are waiting to witness the big reveal.
