After setting up Neelam Productions in October 2016, Pa Ranjith announced his first production Pariyerum Perumal directed by Ram's former assistant, Mari Selvaraj. Set in Tirunelveli, actors Kathir and Anandhi were selected to play the leading roles and Ranjith's regular collaborator Santhosh Narayanan joined the team as the music composer. The film went on to become a huge hit at the box office and it was celebrated by both critics as well as fans. That’s probably the best start a producer can ask, Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions followed it up with Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu starring Dinesh in the lead.

Now our sources from the industry have updated us that Neelam Productions’ next film will feature Yogi Babu in the lead role. This project has been in talks for the past 3 months and the team is all set to start the pre-production work in a week’s time. It must be noted that Yogi Babu played a pivotal role in Pariyerum Perumal. More details about this untitled project will be out in the coming weeks.
