Director Sam Anton made heads turn in 2015 with his superhit horror comedy, Darling, starring GV Prakash and Nikki Galrani in the lead roles and then went on to make Enakku Innoru Per Irukku, which tasted moderate success at the box office.
With his upcoming Atharvaa and Hansika starrer, the action drama, 100, all set for release on May 3, Sam Anton also made the comedy drama thriller, Gurkha, which has Yogi Babu in the lead role alongside Elyssa Erhardt, who appeared as ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s assistant in last year’s blockbuster, Sarkar.

An exciting film right from the beginning, Gurkha announced as a summer 2019 release had created immense curiosity after the the film’s first look poster was unveiled last year, which revealed Yogi Babu in a watchman (gurkha) attire.
Produced also by Sam Anton under the 4 Monkeys Studio banner, the film also includes music by Raj Aryan, cinematography by Krishnan Vasant, editing done by Ruben and lyrics penned by Vignesh Shivn and Arunraja Kamaraj.
