Popular Tamil actress Yashika Aannand made a recovery after she was involved in an accident last July and has since been keeping herself engaged by sharing pictures and videos on social media. The car crash accident saw the Zombie star getting critically injured and being hospitalized for around four months. In the meantime, Yashika, who became a household name across Tamil Nadu after her appearance on Bigg Boss Tamil season 2 in 2018, took to social media on Friday to surprise fans with an announcement about her marriage.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Yashika shortly afterward informed fans that it was a prank to celebrate April Fool's Day, which falls today. She wrote, "I’m so happy to announce that I’m getting married. My mom, dad have agreed to it. It’s time to settle. I love cinema. And no matter what I’ll still be entertaining y’all. It’s an arrange marriage. Love la set agaduuuu. Need all your blessings. Wedding bells around the corner." In her next Insta Story, the Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu actress informed everyone that it was a prank and wished everyone "Happy April Fools Day". This prank by Yashika will no doubt have come as a surprise to the actress' fans as many people sent her congratulatory messages and wishes assuming she was going to tie the knot for real. On the work front, Yashika is currently attached to a number of upcoming films that include Kadamaiyai Sei opposite S. J. Suryah, followed by Pambattam, Sulphur, Bestie and will also be making a cameo appearance in Bestie and an extended cameo appearance in Raja Bheema. Yashika's last big role was in a special appearance in the Nayanthara-starrer fantasy comedy film Mookuthi Amman released in 2020.
