Nandamuri Balakrishna's action entertainer film titled Ruler was directed by KS Ravikumar and the movie had Vedhika and Sonal Chauhan as the lady leads. Popular names like Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Bhumika Chawla, Sayaji Shinde, Parag Tyagi, Nagineedu and Raghu Babu played other important roles. The story was penned by Paruchuri Murali and the film was produced by C Kalyan under CK Entertainments and Happy Movies banners. Music for Ruler was composed by Chirantan Bhatt and the cinematography was handled by Ram Prasad.

Ruler released on December 20th and opened to negative reviews from fans. The film had some notable hype but the film failed to impress the audience and was a disaster at the box office.
