Wounded Haynes choreographs Endhiran stunts
When Peter Haynes – who was badly injured in a recent accident on the sets of Mahatheera (Telugu film starring Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan) – reported at the Endhiran (also spelt as Enthiran) shooting spot promptly, everyone, including Rajinikanth gave him an arousing welcome and appreciated his spirits.
Peter suffered severe fractures in all his limbs from the nasty accident and washospitalized for 20 days. The first thing he did when he was able to move around with the aid of a wheelchair was to return to theEndhiran shoot! Ignoring the pain and discomfort, he returned to the shooting location in Chennai and supervised the stunt sequences so that the movie’s schedule does not get disrupted! Now, that is some dedication!
However, the daredevil stunt master is unhappy that he is unable to attend the other project he has on his hands – Ravana/ Ashokavanam (starring Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and Vikram)! Since it requires extensive travelling and isphysically very taxing, Peter has decided against working in Mani Ratnam’s project for the next few days. Meanwhile, Mani has readjusted his schedule to shoot some talkie portions, but film pundits still feel Ravana/ Ashokavanam might be delayed.
We appreciate Peter Haynes’ never-say-die attitude andhope he recovers soon.
