For the first time, Udhayanidhi Stalin will attempt action avatar in his Pongal release Gethu. Directed by Thirukumaran, Gethu stars Amy Jackson, Vikranth, Sathyaraj and Karunakaran. Produced by Udhayanidhi's Red Giants, we hear that it was director Murugadoss who gave him the confidence to try his hands on action. The ace director was also a part of the story session.
The film is a crime thriller set in Kumily. However, the first half will have its regular comedy elements and as the pace moves in, the story gets transformed into an action entertainer with lots of twists and turns.
