Popular television host and video jockey Anjana Rangan has been a household name across Tamil Nadu for more than a decade and enjoys a massive fan following among the young and the elderly alike. Having hosted several TV shows over the years, she has also been outspoken about several issues and has now once again voiced out her views against the comments she has been receiving for the photoshoots she has done. Anjana addressed the statements coming her way and took to her Instagram Stories saying she is doing photoshoots in an effort to help talented people reach the next stage in life on the professional front. 

Anjana wrote, "Those who have been asking for the N th time wether i am doing photoshoots for getting into acting.. bigscreen or small screen . NO !!! I was never interested in acting. These shoots are with some fabulously talented ppl, who wants to grow in areas of makeup, photography and designing.. I get good pictures and they get the reach! Win win situation.. as simple as that! When i was in sun music, it was for family entertainment and also most of the shows even now, so I dress up accordingly. But photoshoots , I have the freedom to wear what i like and i have always been comfortable wearing anything i am confident about carrying off.. So that reflects in my shoots. Again, if i wanted to act , i wud have taken up so many offers which came across, from the start of my career as an anchor in sun music. These shoots are not for that ! I can wear a mini dress or a saree , whatever i feel comfortable!" She further added in her PostScript, "those men who comment 'Divorce is on the way' under the so called glamorous pictures, pls grow up! Let women in your life breathe, stop suffocating them. Its their wish to wear a saree or a dress. Completely their choice."

Over the years, Anjana has hosted shows like Freeya Vidu, Konjam Uppu Konjam Karam, Vazhthukkal, En Autograph, Box Office, Junior Superstars to name a notable few, while also being a part of part of ZEE5's Dance Jodi Dance 3.0.
