The Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association and the Confederation of Theatre Owners and Distributor's Associations have decided not to release Kamal Haasan's musch hyped Vishwaroopam in the state. An emergency meeting was called in Trichy on Thursday, to discuss the Vishwaroopam DTH row. Theatre owners also urged Kamal not to go ahead with the screening of his upcoming flick Vishwaroopam on DTH before the theatrical release. They also requested CM J. Jayalalithaa to intervene and solve the issue.

"We will not release any film, irrespective of whichever language it is in, which is broadcast on the DTH platform. The distributors furthermore would not buy such films in the first place," the association said in a press note.
