The Savitri biopic being made in Telugu as Mahanati and as Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil had been announced to hit screens on March 29 during the film’s logo unveiling back in December itself.
As of now no statement has come out yet regarding any change in the release date of Mahanati/Nadigaiyar Thilagam, which also has Samantha Akkineni, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey being directed by Nag Ashwin under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner.
Likewise, Vishal’s upcoming cyber crime action thriller, Irumbu Thirai, which was initially announced for a Pongal release and then shifted to come out on Republic Day had then been postponed to hit screens on March 29.
Also starring Samantha Akkineni and Arjun under PS Mithran’s direction and produced by the Vishal Film Factory banner with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, no statement has been made as of now regarding any changes to Irumbu Thirai’s March 29 release date.
Having said that, the sequel to the hit 2014 film, Goli Soda, titled Goli Soda 2 was announced few days back to hit screens on April 13. However, a big change has been made to those release plans by the makers.
It has just been confirmed that the release date of Goli Soda 2 directed by acclaimed cinematographer Vijay Milton under the Rough Note banner with music by Achu Rajamani will be out on March 29.

The makers of Goli Soda 2 will no doubt be aware of the competition ahead and must be confident in their film’s content to pull off a victory at the box office. The film has to its credit big names in the form of filmmakers Samuthirakani and Gautham Menon in starring roles alongside Chemban Vinod Jose, Rohini, Subiksha, Rekha, Rakshita, Saravana Subbaiah, Bharath Seeni among others.
