Leading Tamil actor-producer Vishal will be next seen in the action thriller Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, which has been announced for a theatrical release on January 26, 2022. Directed by debutant Thu Pa Saravanan and produced under the Vishal Film Factory banner, the upcoming film initially tentatively Vishal 31, is currently in its post-production stages and features music by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Billed to be an out-and-out raw action entertainer, promotions have kicked off as the team released the much-awaited Veeramae Vaagai Soodum theme music on Wednesday.
The Veeramae Vaagai Soodum theme music video shows Vishal in an action avatar and taking on the bad guys. Featuring vocals by Nivedita, the video also showcases Vishal and the film's heroine Dimple Hayathi in a couple of sequences, while the footage also reveals moments from behind the scenes during the shooting. Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, which has the tagline 'Not A Common Man', also marks the reunion for Vishal and Yuvan after the two previously collaborated in the Sandakozhi films, Thimiru, Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, Avan Ivan, Irumbu Thirai, and Chakra to name a notable few.
Veeramae Vaagai Soodum's story will reportedly revolve around one individual's fight against injustices being committed by those holding power. Dimple Hayati, who earlier made her Tamil cinema debut in the Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah-starrer Devi 2, will be looking to hit the bullseye in the film, with Yogi Babu, Marimuthu, Tulasi, Kavitha Bharathi, RNR Manohar, Baburaj, Billy Murali, Raveena Ravi, K. S. G. Venkatesh, Mariyam George, Black Sheep Deepti among others cast in pivotal roles. Veeramae Vaagai Soodum's technical team includes cinematographer Kavin Raj, editor N.B.Srikanth, art director S.S. Murthi, and Vasuki Bhaskar as the costume designer.
