Vishal's first big film of 2023, Mark Antony, has wrapped up production, the leading actor-producer announced on social media. He took to Twitter to post a video of the team's celebrations upon completion of filming, while also revealing that he and popular Telugu actor Sunil have finished shooting their portions. The actor also went on to state that it has been a memorable experience working alongside the Pushpa actor and also expressed his gratitude to Mark Antony director Adhik Ravichandran and producer S. Vinod Kumar, while revealing that the film is headed to theatres soon in the days ahead. Mark Antony is currently one of the most-anticipated films of the year and the team is leaving no stone unturned in putting out the word about the upcoming film, which is billed to be a time-travel action entertainer. Apart from Vishal, a major highlight of the film is filmmaker-turned-actor SJ Suryah, who is playing a key role, with the film's action-packed teaser released last month receiving staggering feedback from fans. The Mark Antony teaser hinted at the premise of the film showing Vishal and SJ Suryah as gangsters in the 1970s, with the story then taking the course of a time-travel adventure when they come across a telephone.
Produced under the Mini Studio banner, Mark Antony will see Vishal, SJ Suryah, and Sunil sharing screen space with Ritu Varma playing the female lead, followed by Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Redin Kingsley, Y. G. Mahendran, among others appearing in key roles, while National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar is the composing the songs and the background score. Promotions for the film scaled new heights when they showed the teaser to 'Thalapathy' Vijay sometime back, with photos of the meeting of the Tamil superstar and Vishal taking social media by storm.
