Actor Vikranth Santhosh who has had releases this year namely, Suttu Pidikka Utharavu and Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2, is now gearing up for his next movie, Bakrid, directed by Jagadeesan Subu. He also has cranked the lens for the movie and written the story and screenplay. Bakrid will have its music composed by D Imman, which is bankrolled by M.S. Murugaraj, under the banner M 10 Productions. Aside from Vikranth, "Peraanmai" fame Vasundhara Kashyap is also starring in the movie along with a camel as the leads. The editing of the movie is handled by Antony L Ruben and the lyrics for the songs are penned by Gnanakaravel. Having given a U certificate, the movie will be presented by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies from the 9th of August.
Bakrid is a first Indian cinema to feature a camel as a lead and it will be travelling throughout the movie with the leads. A portions of the movie was shot in Rajasthan, Chennai, and Maharashtra to name a few.
Vikranth will next be seen in Vishnu Vishal's VV, with the script penned by Vijay Sethupathi, directed by Sanjeev that will be a Yuvan Shankar Raja musical.
