The news of Thaman coming on board Thalapathy 66 has come after leading South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna was announced earlier in the day to be playing the female lead in the upcoming film. Thaman has garnered a huge name in the Telugu film industry over the years having delivered chart-buster songs in blockbuster films. It has been the hit composer's long-time wish to work with Vijay and his teaming up with the Tamil superstar for the first time in Thalapathy 66 will no doubt be big joyous news for fans as well, who have been waiting for this partnership to happen.
Regarding Thalapathy 66, producer Dil Raju in an interview with a Telugu media house a while back revealed that it will be a family-centric story while referring to Vijay's Poove Unakkaga and Thulladha Manamum Thullum. As for Vijay, he is set to delight fans with his Beast from April 13, which has been directed by Nelson Dilipkumar under the Sun Pictures banner and features music by Anirudh Ravichander.
