We have officially entered the birthday month of actor Vijay as the big day, June 22, is one of the most looked up days by the superstar’s fans every year. This year too is quite special as the first look and title for his upcoming film, Thalapathy 63, are set to be revealed on the said date.
Being directed by Atlee under the AGS Entertainment banner with music by A. R. Rahman, the film touted to be a power-packed sports entertainer also includes Nayanthara as the female lead and has been announced for a Diwali release in October.
With production on Thalapathy 63 progressing at a steady pace, Vijay fans have had plenty to cheer of late after it was revealed that Maanagaram fame Lokesh Kanagaraj was the frontrunner to helm Thalapathy 64. The excitement levels shot up higher after the teaser release of his upcoming directorial and Karthi starrer, Kaithi, which went on to receive a thunderous response everywhere.

As Anirudh Ravichander is said to be in contention to compose the music for Thalapathy 64 amidst an April or May 2020 theatrical release plan, the expectations for the film took an instant swing upwards after there was talk that the project would be on the lines of an intense gangster action thriller.

That said, there have been rumors and reports doing the rounds stating actress Trisha was being eyed by the Thalapathy 64 team for the female lead role opposite Vijay. It must be noted the two stars have been paired together four times already in films namely Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006) and Kuruvi (2008). However, it has been revealed that no such decision has been taken as yet and the news that is floating around across social networking forums is nothing beyond a baseless rumor.
As of now, both Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj are completely focused on wrapping up their ongoing films, Thalapathy 63 and Kaithi, considering both ventures have been carrying massive talk regarding their release for quite sometime now.
