With the Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha starrer, 96, under Premkumar’s direction turning out to be a tremendous success, the team is undoubtedly happy over the past few days with a joint interaction with the press and fans organized yesterday (21.10.2018) at the Koogai Library.

Speaking at the interaction, ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi went on to share his advice for up-and-coming filmmakers as well as assistant/associate directors saying, “I feel there are many assistant directors present today here at this event. I wish to tell you all something - it is extremely important that you learn to tell your story within one year of entry into cinema. Even if the person whom you are narrating the story to doesn’t understand it, you must make them understand your thoughts.”
The Seethakaathi star then added, “Premkumar’s style of narration is the only reason for not just my involvement in 96, but everybody’s participation. Likewise, if we do not get something we are after, it is important to learn not to blame others as the focus needs to be only on what has to be done to accomplish while also keeping in mind what others tell us.”
Vijay Sethupathi concluded saying, “I learnt this trait while observing Mani Ratnam sir during the filming of our Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.”
