Vijay Sethupathi’s Sindhubaadh, has seen some unforeseen troubles of late after the film directed by Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Sethupathi fame SU Arunkumar ran into financial troubles. The action thriller produced jointly by S.N. Rajarajan’s K Productions and Shan Sutharsan’s Vansan Movies banners has now cleared all obstacles with the team announcing a new release date. Planned initially as a May 17 release and subsequently postponed to June 21, which as well went on to be shifted, is now set to hit screens on June 27.

Sindhubaadh also starring Anjali and Vijay Sethupathi’s son, Surya Sethupathi with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja has quite a lot of expectations and excitement among fans after the film’s action-packed teaser and trailer along with songs in the album went on to receive a huge response. The song "Rockstar Robber" especially featured on Vijay Sethupathi and Surya Sethupathi has become a rocking hit and incidentally marks junior Sethupathi’s first full-length role after he was seen for a brief amount of time in the 2015 blockbuster, Naanum Rowdydhaan.
The trailer released for Sindhubaadh not long back too went on to elevate the hype for the film as it showed actress Anjali in her comfort zone as an outspoken girl, who along with Vijay Sethupathi and Surya Sethupathi face hardships leading to life-altering consequences.
