Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has multiple exciting projects in his kitty and one among them happens to be his Malayalam flick, 19(1)(a). Last night (July 16), Vijay Sethupathi took to his official Twitter page to make a new revelation about the film and the development has garnered wide attention on social media. It has been officially revealed that 19 (1)(a) will skip the theatrical release and go for a direct OTT release on the Disney Hotstar platform very soon. The update was shared through a new poster which has grabbed the attention of the film buffs.

Nithya Menen plays the female lead in this film, marking her first association with Vijay Sethupathi. The exact release date of the film is yet to be formally announced and more details are awaited. 19 (1)(a) is directed by debutant Indhu VS and it is going to be interesting to see what the makers have in store for the audience. Produced by Anto Joseph under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company in association with Neeta Pinto's Ann Mega Media, the film will have music composed by Govind Vasantha of 96 fame. Manesh Madhavan will be handling the cinematography.

The shooting of the film has been completed and the post production works are happening in full swing. We can expect the makers to kickstart the promotions very soon. Vijay Sethupathi's performance as Sandhanam in the recently released Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram looked quite different from his other ones and got favourable reviews. Up next, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing one of the leads in Vetri Maaran's highly anticipated Viduthalai which has music composed by the legendary Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. Produced by RS Infotainment, the film will have Soori playing the main protagonist and he will be essaying the role of a police officer.

Vijay Sethupathi is also awaiting the release of his debut Hindi film, Mumbaikar which happens to be the official remake of the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, Maanagaram.
