A romantic film, 96, has been helmed by Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom cinematographer Prem Kumar, who makes his directorial debut with ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role.
One of the most loved actresses, Trisha is playing the female lead in this Madras Enterprises production, which includes music by Govind Menon and also features veteran actor Janagaraj, Kaali Venkat and Aadukalam Murugadoss in vital supporting roles.
Meanwhile, production on 96 has now been wrapped up and the team will next be focusing on getting the post-production works done in quick time for a release this year.
Earlier, director Prem Kumar stated 96 is inspired by the real-life story of his schoolmate and his relationship with a girl of the next batch and will see Vijay Sethupathi as a photographer with him and Trisha as part of the 1996 alumni.
