Acclaimed Tamil director S.P.Jhananathan breathed his last, this morning (March 14) in Chennai and his demise has indeed come as a heartbreaking news for several people. After falling unconscious at his office, Jhananathan was rushed to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, on March 11 and he was admitted to the ICU ward since his health was highly critical. Earlier this morning, he suffered a cardiac arrest and the Doctors declared him to be dead. S.P.Jhananathan is known for directing movies like Iyarkai, E, Peraanmai, Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai and the yet to be released Laabam. It is unfortunate that Jhananathan will not be alive to witness the audience's response to his next film, Laabam that stars Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles.

Jhananathan was 61 years old when he breathed his last. The fans are sharing their condolence messages on social media and his demise is a big loss for the film industry.
