There’s literally no stopping ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi as the versatile actor has now signed yet another project apart from the long list of films he currently is working on. The Super Deluxe star will now be starring in a film tentatively titled VSP 33 under newcomer Venkata Krishna Roghanth under by Esakki Durai’s Chandra Arts banner with music by Nivas K. Prasanna. Being billed as a big budget blockbuster, the venture also marks the first time Vijay Sethupathi will be starring opposite actress Amala Paul with filming commenced at Palani. The first clap was done by acclaimed director SP Jhananathan with the team scheduled to head to Ooty for the next leg of filming.

Director Venkata Krishna Roghanth is SP Jhananthan’s former assistant and has previously worked in films namely Peranmai and Purambokku. Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the role of a musician in VSP 33, which will travel through the festive season of the year including Christmas and New Year and will overflow with love and music while also addressing a major international issue. Furthermore, the makers are planning to cast a foreigner as another lead against Vijay Sethupathi and are also looking to introduce the cast and crew in a surprisingly different manner.
As for his upcoming films, Vijay Sethupathi’s Sindhubaadh will be hitting screens next week on June 21 while his Kadaisi Vivasayi, Sanga Thamizhan, Laabam, Maamanithan and two other projects with KJR Studios in Tamil are in various stages of production while his long-delayed Idam Porul Yaeval awaits its release. He will also be seen in Marconi Mathai in Malayalam and in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and a project with Panja Vaisshnav Tej in Telugu.
