The title of Vijay Antony's next film with director CS Amudhan of Tamizh Padam fame was officially announced as Ratham and the announcement was made yesterday (January 23), garnering wide attention on social media. Having said that, the makers have now made one more announcement - this one being about the cast. The makers have signed three talented actresses to play the heroines and the choice of actors is quite interesting. Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha, and Remya Nambeesan have been signed as the three female leads of Ratham.

However, one is not sure who will be seen playing Vijay Antony's love interest and we will have to wait for a few more weeks for more details. All three of them - Mahima, Nandita Swetha, and Remya Nambeesan are immensely talented actors and it is going to be interesting to see their contribution to Ratham. Among the three, Nandita Swetha will be seen playing the role of Madhu, a bold and brave woman. Apart from the main leads, Ratham will have popular stand up comedian, Jagan Krishnan in a crucial role. Produced by Kamal Bohra under the banner of Infiniti Film Ventures, the film has music composed by N Kannan and cinematography handled by Gopi Amarnath.

TS Suresh is the editor of the movie. Around 40% of the film's shoot has been completed and the remaining portions will be shot in February after the Covid cases come down. The team is planning to release the film in theatres in summer 2022. Vijay Antony's choice of scripts has always looked promising and let us see if the success streak continues with Ratham as well. CS Amudhan who tasted success with two comedy spoof films - Tamizh Padam and Tamizh Padam 2 has taken an interesting genre shift - as Ratham will be an intensely political action drama.

Apart from Ratham, Vijay Antony has two other movies with the same production house - Kolai and Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan which are in different stages of production.
