Vijay Antony, who was last seen in the thriller drama Kolaigaran, has begun shooting for his next film. This new project, which was officially launched yesterday (March 12) will be directed by Ananda Krishnan who made the critically acclaimed Metro. The announcement about the project was made early last year, but it has taken quite a while to take off due to Vijay Antony’s other prior commitments. The film’s pooja event took place last evening and the shooting has also kickstarted in style.

Touted to be a political thriller, this untitled film will be produced by T.D.Raja under the banner of Chendhur Film International. Meesaya Murukku fame Aathmika will play Vijay Antony’s love interest in this film, which will be presented by Infiniti Film Ventures, along with Dhananjayan’s Creative Entertainers and Distributors. On the technical front, this untitled project will have music scored by Metro fame Johan, cinematography by N.S.Udhayakumar.

Apart from this film, Vijay Antony has three other films in his kitty, Thamezharasan, Agni Siragugal (co-starring Arun Vijay), and Khakhi, which are in different stages of production. The music composer turned actor will also committed to doing a film with director Vijay Milton.
