Agni Siragugal is incidentally also the first Tamil film to be officially announced for an October 2023 release after 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and it now remains to be seen what date the Vijay Antony and Arun Vijay-starrer will be out in theatres. Agni Siragugal has undergone quite a delay in its release considering filming began in early 2019, with production wrapping up towards the end of 2020 and director Naveen will no doubt have used this time in between to make the film as a cracker of an entertainer.
Produced under T. Siva’s Amma Creations banner and featuring music composed by Natarajan Sankaran of Kappal fame, Agni Siragugal is also coming out in Telugu under the title Jwala and has Vijay Antony and Arun Vijay sharing screen space with Akshara Haasan, Raima Sen, Prakash Raj, Nassar, JSK Sathish Kumar, and Sendrayan among others who will be seen in major supporting roles. An action-packed teaser for Agni Siragugal too was released in mid-2022, which saw both Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony squaring off in scenic Russian locations like Moscow and Saint Petersburg, which received good feedback.
