Speaking about Magizh Thirumeni boarding AK 62, Vignesh Shivan said, "He's a fantastic filmmaker. His writing is excellent. His films are solid. I'm a director who arrived on the scene only yesterday. Magizh Thirumeni came ten years before me. He has to get an opportunity to do a film with a big star. And, for that, this will pave the way. That is his breakthrough. I came yesterday and I went away. I'm taking four steps back and there's no mistake in that. This opportunity was supposed to come to him much earlier and he's got it today. So, he will make a good film and as a fan I'm going to enjoy that."
Vignesh Shivan further stated, "In whichever path you take and look at this, it will be right. So, this is a plus for him and he's going to make a very good film, and we're all going to enjoy it in a big way. Again, one day that chance might come to us. I'll be happy if it comes to me or it doesn't. I view my life and look to give my best output at whichever job I do. Now, this didn't happen, but I'm working on another film and I'm looking to make it in a perfect manner. And, I'll work for it. Whether it becomes a hit or a flop, we should keep going forward and not look at anything negatively. Everything is a plus and positive. That's all what life is about and we should take everything in a jolly manner."
