During the ‘Game Changers with Suhasini Maniratnam’ interview, The director Vignesh Shivan revealed that after his debut film Podaa Podi, he went launched a company with his friend and began designing posters for films. As the host Suhasini Maniratnam asked about how Dhanush became the producer of his second film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, the director said “the designs I did helped me here. I designed all the posters of VIP (Velaiyilla Pattadhari). Me and Kabilan, under our company Paper Rocket. How it happened was from there in AGS, there is a film called Vai Raja Vai directed by Aishwarya Dhanush mam. We did posters for the film. After that Aishwarya Dhanush mam told Dhanush sir that 'you can design posters with these two new boys who are trying'. When we began designing VIP posters, we had an idea that we can do it with a photoshoot with Dhanush sir and Anirudh and so we did the photoshoot and with that photos, we designed the posters of VIP. The designs were good and I got the support of Dhanush Sir and his friendship. And, I got the opportunity to work in the VIP film. So after that, the film became a huge hit. When the film was about to be over, (Dhanush) sir said 'I want to help you with something' and I said 'I have this story so If you could produce the film It will change my life'. He said he will do it and asked who would be the hero. That time I had narrated the story to Gautham Karthik, so I said that to him. From there it moved and Dhanush sir produced the film."
