Rowdy Pictures is a popular production house that has been backing critically acclaimed films and hit projects recently. The production house was launched by director Vignesh Shivan and Iconic actress Nayanthara. They have bank-rolled Netrikann starring Nayanthara, Koozhangal that was featured in many Film festivals, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by Vignesh Shivan with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as lead, Rocky that received critical acclaim and Connect starring Nayanthara as a lead.
The producers are set to make their Gujarati Debut with the film Shubh Yatra. Rowdy pictures made the announcement with a poster. The film is directed by National Award-winning directed Manish Saini. He directed Dhh which won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Gujarati and Gandhi & Co Won the Best Children Film at International Gujarati Film Festival 2022. His third project Shubh Yatra has Mulhar Thakur, Monal Gajjar, Darshan Jariwalla, Hitu Kanodia, Archan Trivedi and Jay Bhatt in important roles. It's a remake of critically acclaimed and hit Tamil film Andavan Kattalai. The production house said in the Twitter poster “Our first Gujarati film Shubh Yatra is ready to hit the theatres on 28th of April! Very excited about our collaboration with the star Malhar and the national award-winning director Manish Saini and the gorgeous Monal Gajjar."

As the Production house has been backing critically acclaimed projects, the announcement has attracted the attention of Fans. Shubh Yatra will be co-produced by Manish Saini and Amruta Parande. The poster shows just a copy of the passport of the lead character of the film. It is to be noted that the film is the Gujarati remake of the hit Tamil film Aandavan Kattalai, which had Vijay Sethupathi, and Rithika Singh in the lead role and was directed by M. Manikandan. Shubh Yatra's lead Malhar Thakar has workers predominantly in Gujarat and Hindi films and the team lead Monal Gajjar has acted in Telugu and Gujarati films and a couple of Tamil films including Sigaram Thodu and Vanavarayan Vallavarayan.
